I'm trying to install OST on a linux machine, v1.7-RC4 and i'm getting Write access required to continue

chmod 0666 include/ost-config.php

i've done that and even given 777 permissions and still gives me the same prompt

any ideas?

Which flavor of Linux?

Have you checked your PHP logs to see if anything is getting logged?

fedora

I haven't checked the php logs... i checked apache logs but that might be the wrong place. I tried to open php-fpm under logs but it wouldn't give me access. Is that the correct location? /var/log/php-fpm?

vikeshdaby This thread is over 6 years old, and relates to an ancient version of osTicket! ? If you're having this issue with a currently supported version, you'll have to start a new thread detailing the issue. If you're having this issue with a 1.7 release candidate, you'll have to upgrade to a supported version.

@ntozier Beat you to it ?
