We have emails being checked from an email account and they have a certain phrase that it starts with, for example:"Support Request - "Right now when it checks the emails, it is bringing in everything. Is there a way to filter on the subject and only bring in those items that the subject begins with the above? Thanks!
I think that something like this would work:Admin panel -> Manage -> Ticket Filters.Add New FilterFilter Name: whatever you wantExecution Order: 1Fitler status: activechannel: EmailsTicket/Issue Summary, Does not contain, YOURSTRINGReject Ticket: checked.
ntozier i tried using this rule and it rejected tickets with the parameters and without
Thank you for the quick reply!Well, the thing is, they all contain it.For example, someone may have responded:Re: Support Request - And we only want the first time it was submitted.I do not see the option of something that does not start with...
Ah, I just added to it to reject any that has re: and fwd: in front of them with that subject attached. I believe that will work. Thank you for you help!
So does this mean that "ticket/issue summary" is the field we are supposed to use for filtering by email subject?
This thread is from 2015, I dont know that the filters still work that same this much time later. You might have to change the logic to get it to work.
