I have users that are in multiple organizations.  I would love to see it so that the users can be assigned to multiple organizations and allow them to choose which organization they would like to submit the ticket under.  Just a thought!

I am having the same issue.  I have more than a couple of users who are a part of multiple organizations or would like to submit tickets on behalf of multiple organizations.

It would be great if I could assign a user to multiple organizations. Does this exist or is it something in the works?

Yes, I agree, this would be a very useful feature

@scarcamoeyg they did not. This is not a feature in osTicket at this time.

Also this thread is 5 years old.

Don't mean to be a necromancer, but those looking for this feature, have you found a workaround for the meantime? @rowlandan25

@JuVDC

We were working on this a while ago but it became wayyyyy too convoluted and we realized we need to change a lot of the backend stuff with Users/Orgs. We scrapped the feature and should revisit it after v2.0.

Cheers.

Alright, thanks Kev

Is there any update on this? It seems that v2.0 may never happen at this point. The roadmap seems to be inactive, so Im hoping there's some progress made on the ability for users to be in multiple orgs. The lack of this feature is a huge problem for our deployment and limits us so much. Please give me (and the tons of other people that have requested this) some good news!

@tvts

I can say that v2.0 development has already been started and we are making good progress. The Roadmap (as I've mentioned in many other threads) is more of a placeholder for now until we can update it with more things in the near future. Just because it doesn't look like we are doing anything doesn't mean we aren't (we are extremely busy with developing v2.0 and updating legacy versions). 😉

Note:
Features like multiple organizations, etc. will come after v2.0 is released and stable. The goal of v2.0 is to rewrite the entire front end and backend (full codebase rewrite) and copy the existing functionality of legacy osTicket. Once we have everything working with the new codebase we will then be adding new features, etc.

Cheers.
