It would be amazing to have a mobile device ready portion of the ticketing system. People could create/update tickets, technicians can create/update as well.

This is already on the table! v2.0 is supposted to introduce a redesigned Theme-able UI for staff, and a separate Client interface. Both of which should sport a modern, responsive UI. :)
That is awesome. I am trying to learn coding for Android apps and want to make a helpdesk app for my company. If I get good at it, I will definitely pitch in for osTicket. :-D
