I would also be interested in this feature. Maybe have a option to start time\stop time on a ticket.
Hi,I'm also interested in this feature.
Hey guys,I am looking at developing this feature and am just looking for some feedback before I start so I have an idea what everyone is thinking.Right now I am planning on merging a time and a mileage mod together as they kind of are the same (whether you use both is up to you!). I have two options right now and am curious as to what would work better:Option 1: Have the option for staff to add time to the ticket which simply updates a running total and adds a note in the ticket with who posted it and how much time/mileage.Option 2: Each staff can add time/mileage which will update that staff's total for the ticket, and a running total is calculated for all of the staff that add to the ticket. Thoughts?
Option 2 sounds like the enterprise support system we have at work, that I think would be the better option to put in.
Option 2
Option 2 sounds like a more robust and better version.
Ok guys, ill get working on it!
Hi,I'm also interested in this feature.
Hey Guys,I started working on it and I just want to make sure I am on the right track before I get to the PHP coding. I attached a picture of what I have for the ticket view. The details show every user that has submitted time/mileage (whether it was requested, approved or denied - and I plan to add permissions so that admins can choose who sees what category), and the totals show, well the totals. Below that a simple form to request to add time/mileage.Anything else you would want to see on the ticket-view itself? I am also working on a reports page to get more details (such as individual entries).Andy
Looks good to me. (especially if you can toggle the mileage section on/off)
Yes, I was planning on having both the Mileage and the Time part toggle-able on the admin side, and if they are not turned on then they do not show.
Any update on this...I would be VERY interested in this mod...
Hey Johanbroersma,I'd be happy to give you an update - I have not gotten much farther with the development of the app yet. I am finishing up my ticket status mod and getting the instructions typed up, but was interrupted last week with a nasty case of strep throat (not fun). So I am hoping to end of this week or beginning of next week start developing that mod more. Also, if you have any thoughts or ideas of what you would want to be part of it, now is the time to post them :)Andy
I like the ideas you have already discussed with having the option to either enable or disable the two options of time and mileage. Both of these are used in our enterprise for our technicians.I look forward to the implementation! Thank you so much...
Could be interesting to have the possibility to view and manage the customers time spend, and have a time credit for tickets. Our idea is to give them a credit time to spend in tickets, and each ticket upgrade the time spend and the credit time for the customer. When the credit time goes below a set limit, the system send an e-mail to inform the service department.
Hey CarlesMartinez,I am just trying to make sure I understand what you are saying:Client X would be given Y amount of hours for use in support hours. When an hour is used, it would be "charged" to that client's pool of hours. When the hours get to a set limit, the service department would be emailed so that they can connect with the client and sell another block of Z support hours?Does that sound about right?
It's exactly like you explained.
Awesome, that is what I figured just wanted to make sure. Right now I don't know if that is going to be possible to implement, however, once OSTicket gets the clients part installed, which I know they have been working on, I would love to get that implemented (we offer the same thing for my small business). Depending on how easy it is to incorporate, I may be able to do a work around for now to get it in there, but I have to check.
Just saying hello. This is a great mod, and one that I am interested in too. Look forward to it being released.
