I installed the latest release of osticket to test it before updating to the latest release on live site. I already have OS 1.73 on the site working perfectly. For some reason when a ticket is created and the emails received by client and support team it's all a jumbled can't make out what it says.

Is this a bug? don't see why 1.7.3 is working perfect on the same server but 1.8 has these email issues.

I also tried setting up the smtp emails setting but kept getting error event though same smtp configurations are working on a different site on the same server. Wired!

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I've attached txt format of the email sent to client when a new ticket is opened.

Hmm - I am not seeing this issue with the jumbled up emails. I am using Outlook 2013 - The only thing I can think of is to make sure html format is on in your email client.I am also having the same issues smtp.

Or you might need to create tables for your email templates.

Thank you for your response I'm trying to view the client side reply messages in an online client but messages seem to be empty, is there something Im doing wrong?

Sorry - I am not to sure. I was testing the same way with hotmail (aka outlook.com) and the messages come through fine. If I was you I would just double check your email templates in OST and make sure the font is not set to white (#ffffff) or anything like that.

Thanks for the response but that doesn't seem to be the problem. The emails sent out by osticket seem to be stripped, all I'm getting is a blank email with out any details.I still have the osticket 1.7.3 running on my server and the emails are working fine with this version but I'm itching to upgrade to 1.8.1.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
