after updating to v 1.6. RC4 we experienced the problem that messages (and subjects/titles) were cut off, i.e. not entered into the database after umlauts (äöüAÖÜß etc.) were used - regardless of origin (email or web).

The problem was solved by replacing include/mysql.php with the previous version (RC3) in which lines 26 and following ("//desired encoding in case mysql charset is not UTF-8") are not included.
