osTicket displaying PHP code

Hey! Today when I try to login to the SCP, or navigate to the landing page, it displays PHP code. I'm running version 1.8 with apache and have had this setup for a long time. Any ideas where to start troubleshooting? I'm still getting tickets coming in via email. I just don't have a way to respond to them currently. Thanks for any help!

1.8 is archaic at this point; I assume you instead mean 1.18.x. You’ll need to provide a little more information. Remember, screenshots are helpful.

It sounds like Apache isn’t configured correctly or PHP isn’t installed or setup correctly or even maybe PHP-FPM is installed just not configured correctly. So far it sounds like a setup issue, not an osTicket issue but we can determine that once we get more information.

KevinTheJedi Hey Kevin, thanks for the reply. Yes, it's 1.18 sorry. I'll post a screenshot. This is at the SCP login URL I normally use for managing tickets.

Yea your webserver doesn’t have PHP installed or it’s not configured properly for Apache. I would research a guide on your specific server OS on how to install PHP and Apache.

Sorry, I failed to mention that it’s likely you are missing the Apache module for PHP. Some distros/repos don’t bundle it with core PHP and require you to install it separately. For example, in REHL/CentOS it’s bundled with the core php package (installed when running dnf install php) however on Ubuntu/Debian it’s in a separate package called libapache2-mod-php (installed when running apt install libapache2-mod-php).
