Migrating from osTicket 1.1 to osTicket 1.8

Hello team. I am trying to upgrade osTicket 1.10.1 to osTicket 1.18.2 and it's a hell of a challenge. Installing osTicket1.18.2 was easy but now the challenge is in migrating the data from the old database to the new database. The new databse schema is completely different from the schema of the older version! I tried modified the schema of the old version to resemble the new version but the application refused to connect! I then decided to migrate my data from the old schema by inserting into the new schema table by table but still it did not succeed; users cannot login after migrating the data and I cannot even access my tickets. Mind, you I can see this data in the database but it is not loading on the application. The worst part is I cannot even get the logs on what's failing! Anyone who has done this kind of upgrade and migration and succeeded?

Ummm where did you see that you need to manually map the data, etc.? osTicket has always had an auto-upgrader. You simply place the new code on the new server, place the latest builds of any currently installed plugins in the new plugin folder, import your database to the new server, copy your old include/ost-config.php file to the include/ folder on your new server, update the config info if changed, visit the site on the new server, login as an admin, run the upgrader.
