Dear All,

I followed the instructions mentioned in

http://everyday-tech.com/archives/830(http://everyday-tech.com/archives/830)

Content of the Upload folder has been copied to “C:\xampp\htdocs\osTicket"

but using the latest osTicket 1.7.1 release

And I did not deploy the additional features as I am now testing the system on VMware workstation 10.X using windows server 2008 R2 enterprise edition x64

All the steps went fine up to the end.

At the end, I got the congratulation page that I installed osTicket successfully; but I cannot go to the login page to start ticketing and using the system as it keeps giving Fatal Error page.

but it works when I go to " http://localhost/osticket(http://localhost/osticket) " as thankful page to chose osTicket

Kindly find the attached zip file, however, the resolution is badو but the zise is very limited here

Another thing is when I go to "http://localhost/osticket" I get the below page

I had a similar thing with 1.7.1 (standard install not XAMPP).

Worked fine in 1.7.0 though, and I later updated to 1.7.1.3 and it kept working.

I would appreciate it if you could provide me a link to download previous versions.

Best Regards.

Not sure where I got it, but this thread has links http://osticket.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16844(http://osticket.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16844)

Dear Guyz,

The issue has been solved when I installed the previous version 1.7.0

I think you all are right. The upgrade has to be deployed after this version as base version.

Thanks a lot.

We discovered one bug in this version ;)

Awesome! Glad you got it working man :)

To anyone reading this post. I apologize for CSRF the issues we've had in the 1.7.1 release. When it was first released, we were very naive in our processing to detect the URL path for osTicket. It turns out that there were several setups that would break the detection model we were using, including (embarrassingly) Windows installations.

We've since fixed the issues and posted later releases. Currently, 1.7.1.4 is available on the osticket.com download page. If you download and install or upgrade to the later version, it should work properly (ie. without the fatal error message).

Cheers,
