1.17 to 1.17.5 ost-config chmod 644?

I'm upgrading my osticket set ups from 1.17 to 1.7.5 right now. On the first one, I switched out the osticket wwwroot files (it's IIS, not apache), started the site again in IIS, deleted the setup folder. But then has a message, "Please change permission of config file (ost-config.php) to remove write access, e.g. chmod 644 ost-config.php." I've heard of this.... I'm not 100% sure what to do though. Right security tab and remove write permissions?

And then removing write access for who....? I see Authetnicated Users, SYSM, Administraotrs, Users. Users is read and execute so not that. I'd guess authenticated users then.... Administrators would be cutting off my own access.

It's just the right click properties, general tab. Check the read-only box there.

But is that still correct? That's a 2012 post. I would guess it is though.

On another 1.17 to 1.17.5 upgrade, it didn't bark about the ost-config.php permissions. I copied the old one in, noted it had read-only on the general tab NOT checked. After logging in on the web gui and enabling it, deleting the setup folder, I noticed that read-only box did get check so it is doing some kind of process there. I considered checking it before starting up that osticket again but didn't in case osticket needed to tweak something, which I think it did.

That’s an IIS thing but yea should still be the same. Try it and see. If not, google “how to set 0644 permissions on a file on windows”.
