LDAP plugin problems

osTicket (v1.18.1) - Windows Server 2022
IIS, PHP 8.1.31 (cli) (built: Nov 19 2024 16:43:34) (NTS Visual C++ 2019 x64)

I have downloaded the phar file from the osticket plugins site, and added it to the plugins directory as instructed. Open scp, and go to plugins, it sees the LDAP option and lets me install it.
I can name the instance. When I config the instance I enter the necessary information for Active Directory and click 'save' and then I get an error 'Failed opening required 'include/Net/LDAP2.php' (include_path='./;C:/inetpub/wwwroot/osticket/support/include/;C:/inetpub/wwwroot/osticket/support/include/pear/;C:\inetpub\wwwroot\osticket\support\include\plugins\auth-ldap/include')'
I've gone through and confirmed by php.ini allows all the plugins, and I checked the Net directory. I installed pear via a PHP command.
Has anyone else gotten the LDAP /Active Directory plugin to work on WIMP with Server 2022?
Any advice on what else to troubleshoot? I've been working on this for 3 hours now and I'm a fairly competent guy with building linux and windows servers. Any help is appreciated.

Many people have this setup, so yes, people have gotten it to work. Seems like permission issues or maybe PHP configuration issue. Windows is notorious for permission issues with PHP, etc. I would honestly recommend a linux server instead. If you must use Windows then I would suggest adding the path to the site folder and/or the site's include folder to the open_basedir setting, restarting IIS, and retesting. Also, make sure you have the php-phar extension installed/enabled. Typically, installations of PHP have it enabled by defaults however some don't. When in doubt create a <?php phpinfo(); file, visit it in your browser, and perform a search for phar to see if it's enabled.

I'm at the point I'm ready to just wipe out this VM and start over, but the osTicket server is running well and the tickets and emails are functioning, I just want my end users to be able to login with their current usernames and password creds.

I dont need it to be windows, I just pulled up my VM template for Windows and ran with it, any particular flavor of Linux better than another? I usually install Ubuntu LTS releases, but I'm open to whatever works. Thanks again.
As to the path, yep, I have it listed and I have the php-phar extension enabled. If I add anything to my open_basedir and then do an iisreset all I get in a browser is "No input file specified." I tried this:

Then I'm not entirely sure. Definitely seems like permission issues, etc. as that file does in-fact exist within the plugin. I can also see the plugin dir is added to the system path variable so the only thing I can think of is corrupted PHAR or permission issues.

Nope, no specific distro, just as long as it can run the requirements.
