Is OsTicket being discontinued?

Hi,

I wanted to ask if there are any plans to discontinue OsTicket. I noticed that the GitHub repository hasn’t had updates for over a year, and the last version was released in October of last year. This has made me wonder about the future of the project. Could you provide any insights on whether continued development is planned?

kurnosem It's still active - you'll see KevinTheJedi, one of the developers, posting here quite frequently. Currently the main focus is on osTicket v2, which is a complete rewrite of everything, so only security updates will be worked on for the current version.
Personally I'm hoping an update comes along with official support for PHP 8.3 soon given 8.2 goes end of support at the end of this year, but I'm not sure on the exact plan - just know that the project is still active!

Yes completely still active just in maintenance mode whilst we focus on v2.0. It’s a full codebase rewrite and we need to entirely shift focus to get it done sooner rather than later.

We are releasing new versions soon that will include PHP 8.3 support and fix a whole lot of outstanding bugs. This should hold us off for another good while so we can continue developing v2.0. Stay tuned!

Currently closed source until we have a viable RC and we get to a point where we are able to share it and allow contributions, etc.
