Hi,
I have not updated osTicket (v1.9.15) for an extremely LONG time - I wondered whether this is a straight forward, or whether its best to go up several iterations?

Upgrade from osTicket (v1.9.15) to the latest

As the documentation states, you can always do straight upgrade if using 1.6 RC1+. 1.9.x is > 1.6.x so you can upgrade straight to the latest.
