Outgoing email no longer working after upgrading system.

The new email interface for email IMAP or SMTP refuses to accept the username (email) and password.
We use Rackspace secure.emailsrvr.com on ports IMAP 993 and SMTP 465.
The error says something like ssl://secure.emailsrvr.com:993 doesn't work.

How can we configure the IMAP and SMTP?

Our clients are not receiving our responses. I checked the email settings and nothing will stick

I would contact your webserver admin and/or hosting provider and your mailserver admin and/or mail provider for further assistance. It's saying your webserver cannot connect to the given host and port. Usually means firewall issue, blocked port, server needs to be whitelisted, etc.

I did connect them (rackspace). There are no blocks on the account.

I was also able to test the login with SSL on port 993

Okay that’s from your local Mac, can you do the same on the osTicket server?

Looks like it's the server alright. I get the connect: errno=9 from there.

Turns out that my web host had to open the IMAP and SMTP ports on the firewall (I only use SMTP on OSTickets to respond to users.)
