Hello, I have inherited an osTicket system v. 1.9.12. I realize it's old and EOL, but I have a problem with the search.
When doing advanced search and trying to view the results it fails with the query token not found message,
I have read and tried a solution on GitHub about changing session_data from blob to mediumblob in the install-mysql.sql file, but it doesn't seem to register the change. When I edit the file with NotePad++, blob is in blue text, but mediumblob stays in black text when I change it.

From what I can tell MySql is not installed on the server, but I am not sure if I know what to look for.

Yea that version is extremely old and definitely no longer supported. You would definitely need to upgrade for any kind of assistance. Here is the Upgrade documentation:

    Note:
Version 1.9.x is greater than 1.6.x so you can upgrade like normal. Simply follow the steps in the documentation linked above. You will also need to update your prerequisites before upgrading but that will crash your running instance. So either move to a new server and make a switch or disable the current helpdesk (turn offline and disable email fetching) and upgrade in-place with a downtime.

    Cheers.
