I want PHP Setting timezone as IST
Database timezone as Asia/Kolkata

PHP timezone is set in your PHP INI file and database time zone is set via my.cnf and/or via SQL queries. You can research online how to change both.

With this being said I would not recommend Asia/Kolkata as it’s a notoriously bad time zone with osTicket. Use a time zone that’s in the same zone but different name.

You can restart PHP-FPM and/or the web server and see if the changes get applied. If not then you definitely did not update the right file or there is another INI file/config taking precedence.

Phpmyadmin is a database tool and has nothing to do with PHP, unironically.

Again, I would recommend looking for guides online specific to your host/server. When in doubt reach out to your server admin and/or hosting provider.

Hmmm there shouldn’t be an INI file in the site directory. You can make a PHP file in your site folder, make the contents of that file <?php phpinfo();, save the file, and visit it in the browser. That will show you all PHP settings including the path to the loaded INI file.

Login to the database and run the command to update the global and session Timezone. Then you’ll need to update the mysql config file to persist the changes after restarts, etc.
