Paste image URL

We recently upgraded to version 1.18.1 and we are struggling with a behavior for which we cannot find a setting.
We often send our customer screenshots, mostly created with ShareX, and uploaded to imgur.com.
Before the update we were able to paste the url in the message body, while now with the new version the image gest downloaded and shown inline, which can take up quite some room.
Is it possible to setup the system so that an image url shows as a link, instead of the actual image?

Can you provide further information and screenshots? I don't believe we auto-convert urls to inline-images. Do you have any plugin installed?

Okay, plugins seem normal. Please post screenshots (or a GIF) of the issue happening directly within this Forum. Again, we don't visit 3rd party sites to view things.

Okay so it does seem like Redactor auto-converts those links via the Autoparse feature. The only way I can think of to disable this is by modifying the Redactor defaults we ship with to disable this featrue or use the Link option within the editor. To note, this will only happen with image URLs that end with an image extension (eg. .png, .jpeg, etc.).

Following your lead I was able to work around the issue by activating the ShareX "Shorten URL" feature, so that the URLs don't end with an image extension.
Would be great to have an option in the next release.
