GMail POP mail is not being retrieved into osTicket

I've just installed OSTicket. I set up POP mail through ssl://pop.gmail.com, port 995. Because of GMail's increasingly paranoid policies, I used an app-specific password for basic authentication. Email fetching is enabled under Remote Mailbox.

Then I set up SMTP using tls://smtp.gmail.com, port 587 and "Same as Remote Mailbox" for authentication.

POP is enabled for the email account in Gmail.

SMTP works fine. POP does not retrieve. What am I doing wrong?

PS. The recaptcha asking me to retake the test every 30 seconds is REALLY annoying.

Did you enable fetching at the system level (Admin Panel > Emails > Settings > Email Fetching > Enable)? Did you also create a Cron Job or Scheduled Task to poll the mailbox?

Thanks for the fast response! Yes, I had Email Fetching enabled. And at the Email account level, I told it to fetch every 1 minute. But I didn't create a cron job. I'm looking into that now.
