Error: Can not authenticate to IMAP server

Every 10 min we receive an email
osTicket is having trouble fetching emails from the following mail account:

User: support@milKit.bike
Host: imap.mail.hostpoint.ch
Error: Can not authenticate to IMAP server: [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Authentication failed.

128 consecutive errors. Maximum of 5 allowed

This could be connection issues related to the mail server. Next delayed login attempt in aprox. 10 minutes

The error is pretty self explanatory. Authentication is failing for the email. You need to go update the emails authentication settings in the admin panel.

I have updated and changed the email authentication settings to Google Oath2. But still receiving errors with problems connecting to Hostpoint (which is not used anymore)

That’s the same error as before. Is the URL at the bottom your actual help desk you are looking at or is that a separate install? If it’s the correct one then it appears you have not updated the email’s authentication or host information. If you did it did not save or the mail server does not like it. You say you switched it to Google OAuth2 but do you have a Token tab in the Authentication Config popup within the email settings?

Now you should be able to update the host name and port number, set Status to Enabled, and save changes.

It is strange because now there no any settings from Hostpoint
