Problem whit mail authentication Osticket to Zimbra

Hi,

details:
osticket version: v1.18.1
mail server: Zimbra (own)

I'm having problems authenticating from osticket to my email server, the error "cannot read - connection closed?" as below, I have set the firewall on the osticket and mail server but the error still appears, please help.

The error is basically saying the host and port cannot be reached. Most likely a firewall or dns issue. You’ll need to look at the various logs on your server for a more information.

I'm getting a different error, what is this related to?

I tried using a mail client like thunderbolt, and there was no problem. I don't know whether this is representative, because I think the way osticket email authentication works is not much different from a mail client.

Your issue is that you are typehinting TLS in your hostname yet you are using a non-TLS port. You either need to remove the tls:// in your host name with port 143 or keep the hostname how it is and use a TLS port like 993.

Hi KevinTheJedi, Sorry for my delay, I discovered the problem that my email server had a very bad score from checking https://www.ssllabs.com/ because there was a bug in the old version of OpenSSL and I solved it by using another mail server.
