Plug-ins not working

I see there are a couple of old issues like this but I don’t see any solutions. I tried adding the phar plugins into the include/plugins directory made sure they were www-data owned and even changed to chmod 777. I don’t see any errors in the logs. I’m at a complete loss. I suspect it might have something to do with composer but don’t know where to start. HELP please

Are you running SELinux or something like it that's preventing the server/php user from accessing them? Does your server allow PHAR files? Does your PHP instance have the PHAR extension installed/enabled? Are you sure you tried installing the latest builds of plugins for 1.18.x?

If all else fails you can debug this method that grabs all plugins from the plugin directory and tries to load them:

I turned on error reporting and it complains about open_basedir but the directories it’s complaining about are explicitly permitted.

Then you likely aren't adding the full paths or you are using the wrong PHP INI file. I'd suggest reaching out to your hosting provider to have them assist.
