I was wondering why doesn't osTicket have a discord server? I know this forum is the only official way for osTicket's community to have a conversation, but it does not really give a community feeling as each conversation has to be done by creating a new thread, while on discord it would just be a simple text, plus discord also offers forum channels so you can still have like a forum channel for support or just make it clear on the discord server that people should approach this forum for support. I really think this should be considered as it can also broaden the community to more members as not everybody is willing to just signup to a new website with different credentials for them to just forget it later down the road and have to reset password. If needed I could also help out in setting up a server.

We will potentially broaden our channels in the future but at this time I don’t see any good reason to make a Discord.

Also, it would essentially be a copy of the Forum with less features. So at that point since we already have an established Forum (running for YEARS) why create a duplicate via Discord?

    Cheers.

Personally, and I realise I'm not speaking for every member of this forum, I hate companies pushing Discord on me. I don't want to chat or spam emojis and reaction GIFs, I just want to post questions, and also answer questions other people post. There's nothing that needs my phone spamming notifications every 5 seconds.

EDIT: Also, the vast majority, if not all, of osTicket users will be doing so for work reasons. Not a lot of companies will allow employees to use Discord during work hours.
