Export report not working Error 500

Hi All,

We have recently upgraded to osTicket v1.18.1 and in doing so also upgraded PHP from 8.0 to 8.2.4 and looking for some guidance on the export reporting functionality.

On 1.17 running PHP 8.0 the export and reporting functionality worked correctly but since upgrading this no longer works. I tried using 1.17 with 8.2.4 and this also stops the reporting functionality from working (assuming this is due to 8.2 not being supported with v1.17).

We're seeing no errors being vented to our IIS logs or PHP logs although there is a warning stating that "PHP Warning: Module "curl" is already loaded in Unknown on line 0" and unsure if this is what is causing the issue but all other functionality on the helpdesk is working apart from the export.

Since you are using IIS I would almost guarantee the issue is with the system temp directory. Create a new temp directory that the webserver/php user has appropriate access to, update your PHP INI settings to change the system temp directory, and reload the webserver. Now, the system should have appropriate permissions to generate temp files for the exports and should be able to read from them and delete them once complete.

Kevin once again coming to the rescue. I didn't even think to check permissions as this had previously been working but that's exactly what the issue was. My IIS user never had permissions to write to the temp directory.
