Osticket 1.17 Reporting issue

Good afternoon,

I am currently using OsTicket 1.17 and I am encountering problems when making reports.

You can only select the start date in the calendar, and then in the period I do not see the option to choose a specific day to limit the reports to the dates that interest me.

Furthermore, if I choose, for example, November 1 as the starting date and the frame period is 1 month, it takes all the tickets from November 1 to December 2.

Can someone help me by telling me how to customize the period during which I want to extract the report, or tell me a plugin with which I can do it?

I assume you mean Agent Panel > Dashboard > Dashboard, correct? If so, you cannot do specific date ranges; only the options available to you on that screen (ie. Up To Today, One Week, Two Weeks, One Month, One Quarter). If you want to implement specific date ranges then you must customize the code. You are always on your own when customizing the codebase.

You can instead do an Advanced Search on any Ticket Queue and extract the needed data from there; just keep in mind that with Advanced Search we don't have Response Time, etc. so you won't be able to pull that information.

Hey Follow the steps,
Modified files for osticket report custom end date

/include/class.report.php
/include/staff/dashboard.inc.php
/scp/dashboard.php

Step 1: backup Above files from your server,
Step 2: replace the files with the above modified files.
I have tested in 1.8. you try on your 1.7 hopefully it should work.

If the edits are small enough you should paste the raw changes as diffs in code blocks here or just the changes in code blocks. Reason being is we do not want to host potential viruses, etc. 🙂]

I just don't understand, why this forum is called community support but not allowing other developers solutions for the user's needs and issues.

Trust me, in my many years of doing this, that is known and expected. However I, myself, simply cannot spend time helping people mod osTicket. That’s just not a service we provide.

This is called a Community Supported Forum for a reason; so the community members can assist each other. I’m here to simply moderate and assist where I can and within my boundaries/limits.
