I'm updating user data to change user name details to an understandable format whereI came across an issue when trying to send the email. The email was in the format username@subdomain.domain.uk The email is from a valid email address. Curiously the helpdesk is run via a subdomain and sent via a subdomain. Email diagnostics too said email address will not be sent as the address is invalid. Is this an issue with the algorithm used to check email addresses not following RFC standards? Ideas and inside would be appreciated

Uncheck Admin Panel > Emails > Settings > Verify Email Addresses and retry. If that works then DNS/MX checks are failing.
Cheers.
Yep, that led me to the issue. the email address is in fact invalid It seems the sending website has incorrectly defined the subdomain in the email header. many thanks
