I understand that by default, the system goes to Gravatar to find a profile picture. As a previous discussion touched on the subject, being able to upload a picture of an agent for their profile is something that we would like to be able to do. Handing this off to Gravatar introduces complexity, both on your end to code this and on the user end, as now they have another website to create an account on. No one but the computer geek-minded knows about Gravatar, and only those that know about it use it. I would ask as politely as possible to consider adding the ability to upload a simple profile picture functionality into local storage or create an add-on that provides this feature.
