G'day guys,

Having same issue as here - https://forum.osticket.com/d/100193-2fa-google-authenticator-issue

I've lodged it as a Github issue for the plugin a year or so ago too. But would like to find the fix if possible. Currently using email as 2FA.

You will need to review your logs (general server logs, webserver error logs, PHP error logs, MySQL/MariaDB error logs, osTicket System Logs, Browser Console logs, etc.) for any related errors. I’m unable to replicate such issues.

@KevinTheJedi - On this post (https://forum.osticket.com/d/100193-2fa-google-authenticator-issue) I have the same issue. But I don't know how to change the site name?? Or even if that is the problem.

When I hover over the tab name it says "osTicket :: Staff Control Panel".

Any ideas to track this down?

The Issuer name can be customized in the Plugin Instance.

KevinTheJedi - Sure. But that isn't the cause of the white screen surely? I've set all those details.

Secret Key is null when it shouldn’t be. This is the code for getSecretKey:

So there should be one in the config table under the staff's namespace; if not it should generate and store one.

I've checked in os_config and searched for staff.1 (that is mine). This is all it shows:

I found a solution. Unfortunately I don't know what the problem was. But when I dropped the key in the config table called auth.agent for staff.1, then tried to set it up again it showed the QR code and all is well in the world again 🙂
