You didn’t configure the app correctly or using the wrong URL to submit from. The URL you are using must be the same in three places:

The Redirect URI in the OAuth2 config in osTicket
The Redirect URI in the App Registration
The browser when configuring OAuth2 and submitting the popup.

MS is very strict about these things so I recommend you follow the documentation exactly:

Thanks Kevin - backstory I am running on a local server no ssl hence the issue prior was specific to Azure requesting https and my local server not having SSL (open SSL) no setup.

Now getting an apache error

That means URL Rewriting is not enabled or configured properly for Apache. Please look at guides online on how to enable URL Rewriting.

Lots have happened since last post long story short I had to drop the previous DB and start over, Everything worked immediately after.

Prior to this is was trying to setup using a previous db as i wanted to preserve the data however both the dashboard and many other aspects started failing following the upgrade from v15

You should've been able to upgrade without issues 🤔 Maybe something went wrong during the process or something was skipped over, etc.

Yea you may have enabled the module but does the site config have it explicitly enabled? Typically the site config needs AllowOverride All.

yes, the osticket.conf VirutalHost file does enable it...

Then the only other thing I can think of is updating RewriteRule .*$ %1/http.php/$1 [L] to RewriteRule .*$ %1/http.php/$1 [R,L]. If that doesn’t work then something isn’t right with your setup/environment.

hey there, after hours of testing and debugging I managed to get everything working!! very well!
the problem was the outdated OAuth2 plugin! 🙁
for some reason when I downloaded the latest plugin from github it downloaded the older implementation of OAuth2....
but I pin-pointed the issue and resolved everything! 🙂
