I don't see how there can be a problem with the configuration. There is no issue with logging in as a staff (agent/admin) LDAP account. I just added a new agent, selected Active Directory for the backend, logged out, and logged in perfectly fine as that new agent. So binding must be successful. I'm at a total loss. Why does it work for agents/admins but not for clients? Is there something in the configuration that is used only for looking up clients? For example, is the search base used for staff logins? On my production site, which uses the same LDAP plugin version but runs an older version of Ubuntu, Apache, PHP, and osTicket, everything words properly.
I have it set as follows:
Default Domain: example.local
DNS Servers: 10.1.40.66
LDAP Servers: 10.1.40.66 10.1.40.67
Use TLS: checked
Search User: EXAMPLE\binduser
Search Base: blank (also tried DC=example,DC=local)
LDAP Schema: MS Active Directory
Staff Authentication: checked
Client Authentication: checked
I'm really at a loss and need help on how to troubleshoot this further.
