System Offline

Hi Team,

Previously using OsTicket Version 1.12. I have to upgrade to Version 1.17, So i take the ost-config.php file backup and i have copied the source code to installed folder after copied the folder again move the ost-config.php in to include/ost-config.php location, after that restart the apache site, site is up, but unable to login it shows " System Offline ", I am login via administrator login. still the same issue only came, Please do the needful.

are you logging in as admin via /scp ?
once logged in as admin, you can put the system back online

You must login as an Administrator. We do not let normal agents login when system is offline.

After I am logined to admin account also its keep verifying and again comes to system Offline status. Can you guide to enable online in database table end ?

I am checked all possibilities but no result. Can you guide me hot to upgrade os ticket 1.12 to 1.17

1.12 is running in php 7.2
1.17 is running in php 8.1

i am confuse the install with backup in osticket as procedure.

I've run the above command with my table prefix. but still same issue.

Check your /path/to/osticket/include/ost-config.php file cause something isn’t right here.

Follow the upgrade guide

Also make sure to download newest version
1.17.2 which has fixed some bugs

One more thing, make sure to clear your browser cache

Hello guys. I have exactly the same problem when updating from 1.16.3 zu 1.17.2
After some testing I setup both versions on the same server in two different apache vhosts.
Both are using exactly the same database aod ost-config-file, so there is no database key setting the system to offline.

OLD scp

NEW scp

OLD helpdesk

NEW helpdesk

as mentioned they use exactly the same database in the ost-config.php

PHP: 8.0.25
MySQL: 10.5.15

(I tried it with 1.17.0 and 1.17.1 before.. same behaviour)

Anyone an idea? Thank you 🙂

I have never had that issue

If you like to test this, create a new folder within the same server where your current osTicket is installed, for example:
let's say your current install is on: /www/osTicket Then create a folder in it called Test /www/osTicket/Test
Then download a fresh copy of the new osTicket from osticket.com/download version 1.17.2 Go through a setup like it's a new install with a new database and for this Test to keep it live server and Test separate

If this works then something else is not right

Upgraded to v1.17.3 from 1.16 today. Board now stuck offline. Can't get to /scp/login.php, just shows :
"Support Ticket System Offline
Thank you for your interest in contacting us.
Our helpdesk is offline at the moment, please check back at a later time."
Checked DB, isonline=1
Cleared browser cache, turned Cloudflare cache off, no difference.
Any suggestions?

Once again, the problem lies with /scp/login.php line 135:

// Browsers shouldn't suggest saving that username/password
// Http::response(422);

Every time I upgrade, I have problems, and they seem to relate to this line!
