Upgrade failed ... where do I find information on what actually failed?

I'm trying to upgrade from 1.15.3.1 to 1.17.1 and it's failing, but I can't see where to determine what has actually failed and why.

The steps it says need to be completed are:
v1.17: Add Modern Email Authenticatin (OAuth2) Support
v1.17: Move Plugin Config store back to central config

Any suggestions?

You look in your Dashboard > System Logs for the actual failures.

In this case, the error wasn't in the system log ... I had to look at the php-fpm error log to find that storage-fs.phar wasn't compatible.

I removed that file and the upgrade completed.
