Hello,
We are using osTicket for some time now.

To get the support easy and simple, we allow that any new user can send a email directly to the support, and a ticket is created. We do not want to force the user to create an account first to them send an email to the support.

Because of email spam we got every day several ticket open from spam. Increase security on the mail server, made us also lose some emails that are real ones.
All this spam email we have been adding it to the blackmail list, but the spam system some time on the same day send us the same spam from different emails accounts...

We are looking for a solution that every new user that send an email to the support, before a ticket is created on osTicket, an confirmation email is sent to the new user. Once he confirm, than the ticket is created (if the email account is not also on the backlist from osTicket).

Is there anyone that know if there is a plugin or feature like this that we can have it on osTicket?

Best regards,
Carlos

I'm not aware of a plugin that does this.

2 months later

I have decided to make it. Any new user that register on the web interface, will get an email with a link where he have to open and make the google reCaptcha. Them after than he will be able to create online tickets.
If a new user send an email directly, he will received an email first where he also have to click on the link and make the reCpatch. After that the ticket is created. Next time the user will be recognized and will not need to do this process.
If the link and reCaptch is no done after an amount of hours, will be deleted, and the user get an email alert him about it.

Are you going to post a the plugin here?
