Would it be possible to categorize tickets?

Could a categorization of the ticket be envisaged when fulfilling a ticket?
The categorization should be done at three interrelated levels

You can add fields that are required to close a ticket.
You can use lists to create lists of "categorization".
The ticket closing Agent would need to select from the lists.

The lists are not related to each other, they cannot be used for statistics.
Example parent category "hardware", child category "Printers", brother category "paper jam", these data could then be used to compile targeted statistics, would it be possible to add TAGs?
