This must be a very recent change, within the past year or so? It didn't give us any such errors when we set it up initially, just about a year ago. Nor on other, separate deployments of osTicket that are currently working fine.
If that's correct and this is a recent change in requirements, we'll need to buy another license to create a separate user account just to be able to send e-mail from the distribution group e-mail address. That's too bad, but so be it if that's the change. I just wonder why this requirement would have been added, though?
Once we've got the authentication accounts separated, do you have any advice for the "Too many login failures" message we're also running into, which is what started the problem in the beginning?
