Thanks for taking a moment to read this.

I bought the software mods report plugin. Reports are generated perfectly on the site however, I have run into a couple of issues. I did send an email to support and while waiting I thought I'd see if anyone can answer my questions here.

SMTP:
Through trial and error I found the user name in the SMTP settings is used for the return email address. My current SMTP issue is that my SMTP relay is internal on port 25 and is locked down by IP address. This relay is used for equipment alerts and does not require ssl. There is a different smtp relay for the external handoff. There is no documentation on now to disable SSL. I have left the setting blank and have tried using the work none. Mail still fails to send.

PDF Generation:
Second issue. PDF files are not created. csv files are created without issue so it is not folder permission. Has anyone run into this issue and what did you do to fix it.

Thank you again,

Paul

You will not get support for that here. This is for the core software and core plugins. You will need to reach out to the dev of this third party mod directly for support.

    Cheers.

KevinTheJedi This was understood, I was just running it up the flag pole here to see if anyone in the forum was using it and if they had any insight into configurating the plugin as I saw some users mentioning it. I have reached out to them and am awaiting a response. Thank you for your response.

      Paul

      I use that product.

I haven't run into the problems that you are mentioning.

Your best bet is to reach out to them about it.

ntozier Thanks I have emailed support but I haven't received a response or a ticket number. it shouldn't be blocked its a gmail account. I can't login to the support site itself, the password I have is bad and there is no link to reset it.

I do have a couple of things worked out. I am now generating PDF files (Folder permissions) however there is only half the file. The second part of the PDF file is just a red "X" I think it's the chart. There are no permission errors in the apache log. How ever I get these warning messages.

PHP Warning: session_name(): Cannot change session name when session is active in /usr/share/osticket/include/class.ostsession.php

PHP Warning: ini_set(): A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time in /usr/share/osticket/include/class.ostsession.php

PHP Warning: session_set_cookie_params(): Cannot change session cookie parameters when session is active in /usr/share/osticket/include/class.ostsession.php

Along with a few others like it. All point the the class.ostsession.php file lines 34, 40, 57 and 82 with the referring doc reports.php.

I still can't get email to work. those logs are a bit thin and I'll have to try and follow the code.

Hopefully I hear back from support soon.

Could you please point me in the right direction, what is the link to that mods report plugin? Perhaps I could help to look into the script.

The mod is a $50 purchase, I don't have a link to a download. I have emailed support but haven't heard back.

I believe the mod was created by Scott R who has contributed to the forum.
