Sorry if this has been asked, but because of the keywords in this question I get other results.

Does OSTicket allow us to add the original email to the ticket as an eml? This would be helpful for certain tickets we could use possible information loss from turning it into a ticket.

  • This isn't a feature in osTicket at this time (to my knowledge).

    A couple work arounds that I can think of for this would be:
    Grant Agent access to the mailbox that processes your emails (used to create and updates tickets).
    If you move emails to a separate folder Agents could retrieve the email manually and attach it to the ticket (or just look to see what the lost information is.

    Alternatively if your just looking for the headers of the original email those are stored and you can see them in osTicket.
