When creating new personal search ("add personal search") or editing an existing custom search, I recently noticed that the "Add Other Field" does not result in any feedback.

I can select an existing field from the "Add Other Field" dropdown, but that's it. I'm unable to select further choices for the field as the field does not get added to the list default fields above the dropdown.

For example, if I select "User / Email Address", there is no option available to filter by email address. This applies to all options in the dropdown.

There is no feedback from the system after selecting a field in the "Add Other Field" dropdown.

First you are running an old and out of date version of osTicket.
Second according to the screen shot above you have not added the "User / Email Address" to the search yet.

It looks like this when you add it:

    however, the screenshot you have shared is the expected state and that's how it was working previously.

    recently, i have noticed that after selecting an item from the "add other field" dropdown, i do not get the expected result as shown in your screenshot.

    Then either AJAX isn't working properly or you should be getting a fatal error somewhere in one of your logs (general server logs, webserver error logs, PHP error logs, MySQL/MariaDB error logs, osTicket System Logs, Browser Console logs, etc.).
