I read the discussion in https://forum.osticket.com/d/99689-resolved-db-error-1054-when-searching-for-user, because I had the exact same problem in my new osTicket setup. DROPed the table, but I don't have shell access to my web hosting to run api/cron.php. Any other way? Thx.
You should be able to rebuild the table by searching for a user in the Agent panel.
ntozier I'm a bit late with the follow-up ... ;-) ... on the agent desktop, switching to the "User" tab immediatley gets me a "Missing CDATA table. Get technical support." error message. Is there any other place to search for a user?
Check your mysql error logs, post any errors related to this you see here.

Just add a dummy field to the Contact Information Form, and go to the User Directory. This should rebuild the CDATA table for Users.
Cheers.
