Office 365 SMTP problem

I have just installed the latest version (1.15.2) in a VPS in Contabo.

Now I am trying to setup the email.

I am having issues when I try to use Office 365. This same account is used in another applicaiton (wordpress) for a contact form and it is working fine.

The problem I get is:
Failed to connect to smtp.office365.com :587 [SMTP: Failed to connect socket: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known (code: -1, response: )]

In the server I can telnet to smtp.office365.com :587 without issues.

On the other hand, I have tried SMTP from mailjet and it is working fine.

Any idea how to troubleshoot this?

I had a similar problem a while ago, I had to play around with the PHP version to get it working...
