[resolved] No installer web page

Hi,

Want to apologize in advance if there is an answer to my question somewhere here on this forum or otherwise. I think I have scavenged for nearly 2 days straight and it could have made me blind.

I have installed a fresh Ubuntu Server 20.04 with prerequisites (followed a guide called "Install osTicket with Apache and MySQL or MariaDB on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS"). I have also reinstalled pretty much everything I know of and double and triple checked most of the configuration files. But I just cannot get to the initial installer web page.
When I surf to the IP address of the server all I get is a text page saying: '.__('Welcome to the Support Center').' And if I try to access a subfolder of the page (ex. http://server.ip/setup) it is just blank.
I am completely new to MySQL and PHP so I don't even know what logs to check, and I think i am starting to lose my mind over this issue.

Please, somebody, anybody, H E L P !

Environment details? (see Admin panel -> Dashboard -> Information)

Create a file called test.php in your webroot.
In the file put <?php phpinfo(); ?>
Browse to the file using your web browser.
(So if your site is contoso.com you would go to contoso.com/test.php)
What happens?

I'm affraid I cannot access the Admin panel what so ever since the only thing I see is '.__('Welcome to the Support Center').' and some other unformatted text.
I can however see the default Apache page if I activate that specific .config.

I am not at work at the moment, will try that test.php as soon as I can.

Just in case I'm not sitting on the forums when you get to testing this, my thought is that perhaps your webserver is not parsing and processing PHP. the test should rest in a page that have your PHP configuration information and would look something like this [note this is a image I grabbed off google search]

If you do not see something like this then it is likely that your webserver is either misconfigured, or not configured to use PHP and you would need to investigate why that might be. Since I'm not familiar with the guide you mentioned I can't go look at it to see if they missed a step or something.

Ok, tested it now.
The test.php just shows a blank page.

Thanks a lot for pointing me in the right direction, I was missing package: libapache2-mod-php7.4.
After it was installed everything worked like a charm!
