Unable to fetch from Gmail Workplace account

I have a fresh install of OSTicket v1.15.2 (cb6766e)

I'm able to send email via smtp no problem.

But I'm getting the following error after I enter in smtp info for fetching
[CLOSED] IMAP connection broken (server response)

I have this Gmail user account in a less secure OU with 2FA disabled. I've enabled less secure app access on this account. I've enabled IMAP and POP on the account.

This OSticket server is hosted in Google Cloud Compute. I'm assuming its not a firewall issue as I can send email using smtp from the OSticket server. I did create firewall rules (ingress/egress) to allow all tcp:587 on this instance. Not sure what else to check here.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Mail Box Protocol is actually IMAP...I took the screenshot before I adjusted that drop down.

You are using Port 587 for IMAP/POP which is not going to work as Port 587 is an SMTP port.

You will need to use the following settings:

Hostname: imap.gmail.com
Mail Folder: (leave blank if you want to fetch from the INBOX)
Port Number: 993
Mail Box Protocol: IMAP + SSL
Fetch Frequency: (whatever you want, this is really going to depend on Cron)
Emails Per Fetch: (whatever you want)
Fetched Emails: Move to folder - (define a folder to put fetched tickets)

Dear lord...I'm not sure how I didn't even notice that. That was it. Now just need to set a Cron frequency. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Seems to be working now!
