Hello, I have just installed osTicket and I would like to use the email to ticket auto-create feature. I have enabled the fetch on the auto-cron setting and added the batch file to scheduled tasks to run every 5 mins. New tickets will only populate when logging in to the admin panel on osTicket. Is it possible to have it auto-create tickets without being logged in?
Hi Jetole,
What is your setup configuration? It's always a good idea to supply this information when asking a question. OS Web Server Version MySQl Version PHP Version osTicket Version
I have tickets being created automatically in release 1.15.2 on CentOS 8.
Thanks, Denise
Hello Denise, Here is my server configuration.
OS: 2019 Windows Server Web Server Version: IIS/10.0 MySQl Version: 5.5.45 PHP Version: 7.3.25 osTicket Version: 1.15.2
Did you schedule polling? https://docs.osticket.com/en/latest/Getting%20Started/POP3-IMAP%20Settings.html
Yes I have added this bat file "c:\Program Files (x86)\PHP\v7.3\php.exe -f c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\osTicket\api\cron.php" to run as a scheduled task. The tickets auto-populate when I log into the admin panel only. If I just stay logged into the agent panel no tickets will be auto-added.
What happens when you run that command manually?
Nothing happened just an error message. I changed the command to this "c:\Program Files (x86)\PHP\v7.3\php.exe" -f c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\osTicket\api\cron.php" and now it's working. Thank You
Very welcome.
