Had a hard time rebooting (considering its use again) an old osticket setup. It was running on 1.9.x. I tried making the jump to 1.15.2 and that was exciting (fail). So I tried 1.14.6 (fail). So I went back to 1.10 and worked my way up, upgrading over and over again until I got to 1.14.6 which seems to work, but only with PHP set to 5.6 (which is a start). I try to make the jump to 1.15.2. (failed with "Fatal Error: Contact system administrator." no matter what version of PHP I set to). I tried 1.15 and got the same. PHP 7.1 or less = 500 error and 7.2+ = "Fatal Error: Contact system administrator."
No error log in the directory.
I do get the "osTicket Fatal Error" email which states "Unable to connect to the database — The server requested authentication method unknown to
the client"
That latter part I read in previous discussions may have to do with the version of MySQL installed (which I don't have access to modifying at the moment). Current version is "5.6.41-84.1"
Apache Version: 2.4.46
PHP versions accessible: 5.4 - 7.4
Rolled back to 1.14.6 for now.
