Thanks for the reply, I had osticket installed on our windows 2012 server IIS. And the mysql was on our app server. In os-config i just pointed the db at the correct location.
Resolved:
I installed mysql on the webserver, where osticket is installed and edited the os-config to point at localhost for the db. The error is no longer poping up and emailing me.
I think in my case it was a connection problem with my app server, sometimes when i RDP to the app server i get a error saying it cannot be found. I click on ok and then connect again and it connects fine.
