Attachments are still stored in DB

Hello,
I've seen many threads with such a problem, but none of them seem to help me. Maybe I am missing something obvious.

I was checking the "Attachments on Filesystem Plugin" and trying to make it work. Steps I made are:

Downloaded the plugin
Put it in include/plugins directory
Enabled and configured the plugin
Created directory for attachments and updated Attachments Storage and Settings settings
Migrated all attachments from the database to the newly created directory for attachments, using this command: php manage.php file migrate --backend D --to F
Checked that all records in the database table ost_file have F value in bk column
Uploaded new file, found it in the database with D value in bk column

What am I doing wrong?

The path must already exist and be writeable by the web server. If the path starts with neither a / nor a drive letter, the path will be assumed to be relative to the root of osTicket.

PavelH path exists and even has 777 mod. I tried using a relative path uploads for attachments instead of an absolute path /var/data/www/os-ticket/uploads (os-ticket stored in/var/data/www/os-ticket directory ), and it suddenly worked.
So, are absolute paths being ignored for attachments?

Absolute and relative paths are allowed.
If you want to use a relative path, it should be written like this in your case: /uploads

For information: /var/data/www/os-ticket/uploads it is also a relative path, not an absolute.
An absolute path would be, for example c:/var/data/www/os-ticket/uploads

Doesn't that mean when a path starts with / or C:/ it is absolute? Because there is no C:/, D:/, or anything like that in Linux systems.

Only / is relative. C:/ is absolute.
I have no experience with linux. I don't know how right it is in this environment.
