So I have been trying to get the 3rd party adSync working for 3 months to no avail. I exported all my users from AD and imported them into osTicket. When I did that, they were all guests. Only Agents can register accounts. so I click all the users on each page and clicked the register button. Now all the users are showing "Locked (Pending Activation)". Apparently, there is a function that you choose when you register an individual account (choosing the authentication backend) that is skipped when mass registering accounts. so now it looks like I will have to delete all the users, import them back in and register each one by itself unless someone knows a way to go through a backdoor and select the auth method for all of them.

The osTicket import system is "broken" in that imported users alway display as Guests. They are not really guests and you can ignore that it says guests. The accounts work fine. I use adSync on multiple production sites and they all do that. I've reported the issue and from what I understand the next version of the plugin should include a toggle to change all users to not say Guests after the fact.
