After updating outlook (2010 to 2016) at our workstations, we are having the same problem as described at https://forum.osticket.com/d/92043-resolved-forwarded-email-fetching.
When a ticket created from a forwarded mail send by outlook 2010, in the body of the ticket first we have the following
From: SURNAME NAME [mailto:n.surname@yahoo.com]
Sent: Wednesday, August 19, 2020 10:24 PM
To: Name
Subject: Subject title
Now after the outlook update to 2016, we get the same mail with following text :
From: SURNAME NAME
Sent: Wednesday, August 19, 2020 10:24 PM
To: Name
Subject: Subject title
In the ticket, the [mailto:n.surname@yahoo.com] at From: is missing. The problem here is that in the body the line with email of the sender is now : From: SURNAME NAME <n.surname@yahoo.com> and from what i read, text in <> is not imported in the ticket.
There is not way to add accounts in user's outlook so to bypass email forwarding. Also i understand that due to security, any text in <> is not imported, but is there any way to skip only for emails in <> ?
@nohcho82 mentioned that he fixed that but he doesnt explain in detail.
