I have a problem with some issue which appears to be in the database. I'm not familiar with these changes in the database, so looking for some advise/input.

I am running version 1.12 of OSTicket. We experienced an issue on version 1.11 where when you edited a ticket and saved then all the file attachments on that ticket would be removed. I had someone help me to see if we could resolve the issue which we failed. I then upgraded to version 1.12 where the issue is resolved. However during the process of trying to resolve the issue the person who was assisting me managed to break something. I have custom file upload fields (created within the OST interface not created through custom code) where the flag is selected that they are required for the ticket to enter a closed status. However this now appears to no longer be effective. All other fields this flag still works however with file uploads i can close a ticket without anything being attached. Initially i assumed that this was a change made somewhere in the code, however after upgrading to v1.12 i note that this problem still exists which to me points to a change having been made in the database as i did not migrate any of the php code, i only migrated the database.

Does anyone have any pointers they can give as to what changes might have been made in the database to cause this fault?

Honestly... you would probably just want to restore from backup before you upgraded.
