Hello, I have been running my Osticket on a virtual server with Windows and Xampp, but I have been experiencing a lot of issues, I was thinking that maybe its a better idea running osticket with a different os, any recommendation for this??

I've ran multiple versions of osTicket starting with 1.6 all the way to 1.14.2 under IIS for 10+ years and had minimal problems. I've also run 1.8 to 1.14.2 under Linux with out any problems.

ntozier Wich linux version are you using?? are you running the servers through command lines or with all the GUI package installed??

jsbanjo While I haven't been using osTicket for as long as ntozier has, the OS is really all down to personal preference. osTicket is 'just' a bunch of webpages, so whatever you feel more comfortable in setting up and using a web server and MySQL database is the one to go for. Personally, I've always been a fan of Fedora but you do have to be careful with upgrades as Fedora tends to go bleeding edge and get new versions of PHP and such that aren't supported in the current version of osTicket much quicker than other distros.

CLI all the way 🤓 (again, this is just down to preference and makes absolutely no difference to how osTicket performs)

Debian. (I do not have access to the server atm to check the version but it is updated and distro updated regularly as releases are made]
I don't do GUI on Linux servers.
